Sylvia Gregory, CSA
Owner/Casting Director
Over the last 10 years, Sylvia Gregory has cast SAG Feature and Independent Short Films, video games, commercials, web spots, print ads and ad campaigns for numerous national and regional commercials. She got her start casting as an Associate at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and then partnered with Cathy Reinking, former Casting Director at NBC. Sylvia opened her own agency in 2010, and has since cast the episodic films “Encrucijada” for PBS and Univision, which won the Heartland Regional Emmy in 2015. The New York Times has recognized her work for both The Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention’s “Man Therapy” PSA campaign, and The Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s production of Hamlet. Sylvia is the Performance Director for Deck Nine Games. Sylvia has been the Casting Director for The Colorado Shakespeare Festival for 6 seasons, the Casting Director for LOCAL Theatre for 7 seasons, and consults on casting for many theaters throughout the state. She also teaches acting and auditioning for on-camera and the stage. She holds a degree in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Acting from California State University Fullerton, a degree in classical acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and a Master’s of Fine Arts degree from The Alabama Shakespeare Festival/University of Alabama/PAT. Sylvia is a proud member of The Casting Society of America.

Grady Soapes, CSA
Casting Director
Grady is the Director of Casting and Artistic Producer with DCPA. Selected casting credits include Twelfth Night, A Doll’s House and A Doll’s House, Part 2 in repertory, Oklahoma!, The Who’s Tommy, The Wild Party, Theater of the Mind and many other Denver Center productions. Choreography credits include several productions at DCPA, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Colorado State University and Perry-Mansfield. Grady is an avid reader, a British Monarch history fanatic and lover of all things food.

Rebecca Tourino Collinsworth
Casting Associate
Rebecca is the communications hub of the SG Casting team. She compiles audition information, communicates with agents, schedules talent, and distributes deal memos. A teaching theater artist based in Seattle, in the last five years she has developed and produced more than fifty new plays through her company, Parley.

Lauren Bahlman
Casting Associate
Lauren loves being a part of Sylvia Gregory Casting, and finding the right talent for each unique job! She was brought on as a Casting Associate in the Fall of 2017. When she is not working behind the scenes, Lauren is a performer herself, appearing on several stages in the Denver area. She is also an improviser, podcaster, and a Company Member with Benchmark Theatre.

Allen McLain
Technical Director
Allen McLain has over 15 years experience as a director and producer of commercials, brand films, documentary series and narrative content and has produced projects in Central America, Asia, Europe and Africa in 4 languages. He currently serves as CEO of Skytheory, a content company with offices and soundstage in Denver, Colorado where he hosts studio productions for clients such as NBC-Universal, ESPN, Comcast, MSNBC, and Travel Channel when not producing in-house branded content and entertainment productions.

James Elmore
Social Media Manager
James Elmore has happily worked for Sylvia Gregory Casting since 2011 on a project-by-project basis. He has offered administrative assistance on casting projects. As Social Media Manager, James has rebranded the newsletter, doubled subscribers, and instigated network connectivity via links to client’s work. He continues to expand SGC’s marketing through his expertise across various platforms, as well as offering valuable insights into the agency’s website development.

David Kocina
Casting Intern
David is currently a senior in the University of Colorado in the BFA for Performance. He is looking to pursue a career in advertising, casting, or directing and is excited to learn more about these industries through his work with Sylvia.
